This policy explains what Temple One collects, why we collect it, and the choices available to temples, staff, and devotees who use our products.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
1. Who we are
Temple One is operated by FoxWel (“we”, “us”, “our”). It includes the Temple One counter / POS mobile application and the Temple One Admin website used by temple administrators.
Contact for privacy questions: privacy@foxwel.ai
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Temple One Android / iOS POS apps
- Temple One Admin console
- Related Temple One APIs that power those products
Individual temples remain the data controllers for devotee booking and billing records they create while using Temple One.
3. Information we collect
Account & staff data
- Name, email, phone number, and role for admin / POS users
- Login session tokens and device identifiers for single-device POS sessions
- Device brand, model, and platform used at sign-in (for session security)
Temple operations data
- Temple profile (name, logo, location, UPI / billing settings)
- Seva catalogue, categories, gudi groups, archakas, panchanga data
- Receipts, payments (cash / UPI references), and seva bookings
- Devotee details entered at the counter (name, phone, address, and optional fields such as nakshatra / rashi / gotra for scheduled or Shashwatha sevas)
App permissions & device features
- Internet — sync, login (OTP), and admin API access
- Bluetooth — connect to a thermal printer for slips
- Camera — optional UTR / payment reference OCR
- Microphone — optional speech-to-text on forms
- Notifications — scheduled seva reminders
- Location is requested only on older Android versions when required for Bluetooth printer discovery; it is not used for tracking
Communications
- One-time passwords (OTP) sent by SMS through our messaging provider for POS login
4. How we use information
- Authenticate staff and protect temple accounts
- Operate counter billing, receipts, and seva scheduling
- Sync data between POS devices and the temple admin console
- Send seva reminders and operational notifications
- Provide support, security, and service improvements
- Meet legal, accounting, and audit obligations of temples
We do not sell personal data.
5. Sharing
Data may be processed by:
- Infrastructure and database providers that host Temple One
- SMS / OTP providers used only to deliver login codes
- Temple administrators who manage that temple’s own records
- Authorities when required by applicable law
6. Retention
We keep account, booking, and billing data while a temple actively uses Temple One and for a reasonable period afterward so temples can meet their own record-keeping needs. Local POS caches may retain offline data until cleared by the temple admin or staff.
When a deletion request is completed, personal data is removed or anonymised as described in our Data Deletion Policy, except where law requires longer retention of financial records.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and session binding for POS devices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please protect staff credentials and POS devices.
8. Your choices
- Staff may log out to end an active POS session
- Temple admins can update or remove staff / devotee records they manage in the admin console where the product allows
- Account or data deletion can be requested under the Data Deletion Policy
9. Children
Temple One is built for temple operations and staff use. It is not directed at children. Please do not submit children’s personal data except where needed for a seva booking managed by a parent or guardian.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Temple One after an update means you accept the revised policy.
