Data Deletion Policy

This page explains how Temple One users and temples can request deletion of an account and associated personal data.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Overview

Temple One (operated by FoxWel) lets temples run counter billing and seva operations. You can request deletion of personal data linked to a Temple One POS or Admin account. This page is the public deletion policy for app stores and users.

2. What can be deleted

Upon a verified request, we will delete or anonymise:

  • POS / admin staff account profile (name, email, phone, role)
  • Active login sessions and device binding for that account
  • Personal identifiers you ask us to remove where they are not required for temple financial retention

Temple-owned operational records (for example completed receipts or seva bookings created while serving devotees) may be retained by the temple for accounting, audit, or legal reasons. Where those records contain personal data and the temple authorises deletion, we will process that request as well.

3. How to request deletion

  1. Email privacy@foxwel.ai with the subject line Temple One data deletion request.
  2. Include:
    • Your full name
    • Registered phone number and/or email used in Temple One
    • Temple name (if known)
    • Whether you want staff account deletion, devotee data deletion, or both
    • Any device / receipt references that help us locate the data
  3. We may ask for verification (for example an OTP to the registered phone or confirmation from a temple admin) before deleting data.

Temple administrators may also remove or update staff and devotee records they control from the Temple One Admin console, where the product provides those actions.

4. Timeline

  • We acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days
  • We complete verified deletions within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or for fraud / dispute investigation

5. What we may retain

We may keep limited information when necessary to:

  • Comply with tax, accounting, or legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce security
  • Maintain anonymised analytics that no longer identify a person

Backups are purged on a rolling schedule; deleted data falls out of backups after that cycle.

6. Effect of deletion

  • You will lose access to the deleted Temple One account
  • Offline data on POS devices should be cleared or reinstalled by the temple
  • If only personal profile data is deleted, temple billing history may remain in anonymised or temple-owned form
